St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital’s Annual Prom serves pediatric patients who were unable to attend their own prom due to hospitalization or who, due to life-limiting illness, will most likely never get the opportunity. The Hospital’s Prom is traditionally an all-day affair. Beginning in the early afternoon, patients arrive at the hospital or are escorted from their rooms to begin their day of shopping for dresses or suits. Dress and Menswear Shops are set up with all the accessories; Ties, belts, socks for the gentlemen and bags, shoes, shawls for the girls.
This year eight members of the club volunteered to help the patients in choosing their attire for the Alice in Wonderland Themed prom later that night! It was a heart-felt event, that all will volunteer for again.
