Another successful year of doing the work of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Our vision is to empower women in collaborative efforts of philanthropy, advocacy, and community leadership.
With CORE VALUES of Stewardship, Empowerment, Respect, Vision, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence, our members make good things happen for those in our community. Here are few of our projects to close the calendar year…
We volunteered at Feeding America…
Our Carolers were right on key last Sunday afternoon when they shared some Christmas joy and jingles with the residents at The Legacy at Highwood’s Preserve. It is one of our favorite holiday outings!
Some GFWC elves were busy this morning finishing up our gifts for the HeartFELT children. A member food drive resulted in $1,000 + worth of food that the children will have to take home over their upcoming holiday break. The club also purchased age appropriate books wrapped and topped off with a bag of treats to wish them a Merry Christmas! Tis the season!
Our last scheduled day at Trinity Cafe for 2017 and it was just as wonderful as the rest! Merry Christmas! We will be back in 2018! GFWC New Tampa (aka the “elves”) were busy today putting together gifts for our guests for when they come to serve! Each bag contains a reusable/disposable hot beverage cup, instant coffee, hot chocolate mix, tea bag – with creamer and sweetener, a card and some candy canes. GFWC Woman’s Club of New Tampa LOVES Trinity Cafe and we are thankful!
A BIG thank you to the GFWC Woman’s Club of New Tampa for your donation to The Hunter’s Green Elementary Music Department!
