As you head out to do some holiday shopping, be sure to stay vigilant and protect yourself from potential scams. Remember to exercise extra caution if you see any suspicious items on your car, including a package in the door handle, money or a note on the windshield, or a zip tie on the vehicle. Don’t touch the item. Instead, take a step back and check to make sure no one is under the car, then look into the back seat. If all is clear, use a safe handle to enter the car and leave the area. Remember to use gloves to remove any suspicious items, and dispose of them properly.
